Technical rigor with a name behind it
MOLARIS is green hydrogen engineering and consulting personally led by Emilio Rodríguez, an industrial engineer specialized in ATEX, HAZOP and SIL process safety. He signs off on every project himself, backed by a network of specialists he has personally vetted.
Engineering built on rigor, not just calculation.
MOLARIS was founded on a simple conviction: the energy transition isn't solved by technology alone — it's solved by technical rigor applied to real decisions. Behind every report, every design and every training session is the same standard an engineer holds for anything they put their name on.
We work across three interconnected fronts: we design hydrogen and renewable gas infrastructure, we support organizations through their investment and transition decisions, and we train the technical teams who will run this industry over the next decade. We work with clients in Spain and on international hydrogen projects alike, applying the same technical criterion regardless of geography.
Emilio Rodríguez, founder of MolarisTechnical authority
Every recommendation is backed by calculation, regulation and real plant experience — not promises.
Strategic vision
We look at the full project: feasibility, regulation, financing and roadmap.
An engineer's honesty
We say what works and what doesn't, even when it isn't what the client expected to hear.
Collaborative proximity
We work alongside your teams, transferring knowledge at every stage of the project.
Emilio Rodríguez
Industrial engineer specialized in process safety and green hydrogen engineering. His career combines the design of real plants with the drafting of the regulation that now governs the sector: this isn't a generalist who jumped on the hydrogen trend late — it's someone who has spent years inside its projects, its risks and its regulatory framework.
He has led the HAZOP and ATEX classification of a 3 MW electrolyzer, defining SIL levels under IEC-61511 — a specialization in hydrogen process safety that very few professionals in Spain can claim. His time at Abengoa Hidrógeno and H2B2 produced 2 patents, and as co-founder of The Lean Hydrogen Company he led projects delivered for Gonvarri, Redexis and HVR Energy, as well as raising €750,000 in public innovation funding (CDTI, NEOTEC) to scale a development from TRL 3-4 to TRL 7-8 under its own patent.
One technical criterion, backed by a network
Every Molaris project is led and personally signed off by Emilio Rodríguez — that doesn't change. But execution doesn't rest on one person alone: it draws on a network of specialists he personally vets, and on a stable partnership for the operational phase. That gives you the best of both worlds — a single, accountable technical criterion, and the real capacity to execute large-scale projects.
Mechanical engineering
Specialist in stress analysis for pressure equipment and piping.
Permitting & legalization
Industrial engineer expert in administrative processing and plant authorizations.
Electrical & instrumentation
Design of electrical and instrumentation systems for hydrogen plants.
3D plant design
3D modeling of industrial infrastructure for green hydrogen projects.
Partnership with EOM — Energy O&M Services
A stable partnership for maintenance management and start-up of hydrogen plants once built.
All collaborations are carried out under the direct supervision and technical criterion of Emilio Rodríguez.
